Friends, adventurers, and fellow story lovers,

The moment is here! We're both excited and a little bit sentimental to announce that our fourth and final Dev Blog episode with creator Matt Tuttle is out now! It's been such a blast sharing these behind-the-scenes peeks with you all throughout this campaign.

📖 The Final Chapter

We saved a very special one for last. This final installment is titled "The Heart of Echoes," and it's a bit different from the others. In this episode, Matt gets personal and chats about:

  • The core themes and emotional journey that inspired Rhapsody's adventure.
  • A closer look at some of the key characters and the personal stories or inspirations behind their creation.
  • What this passion project has meant to him over the many years of its creation.
  • A heartfelt thank you to you, the community that is helping bring this dream to life.

This episode really gets to the soul of the project, and we're just so glad to be able to share this part of the journey with you all.

So, for one last time in this series, grab a comfy seat and let's dive in:

We would absolutely love to hear your thoughts, especially for this concluding episode. Please share them in the video's comment section!

Haven't Pledged Yet? We're So Close to Our First Stretch Goal!

If you've been following along with our journey but haven't yet become a backer, now is an amazing time to jump in! We are incredibly close to unlocking our $25,000 stretch goal to bring Echoes of the Unread to PC via Steam!

For our already amazing backers, don't forget, add-ons are still available! If you've been eyeing that extra goodie (like the Vinyl or CD soundtrack or an additional NES cart for your retro gaming buddies), now is a great time to add it to your pledge. You can also upgrade your pledge tier at any time before the campaign ends.

Your pledge, no matter the size, could be the one that pushes us over the top and helps us bring Rhapsody's adventure to a whole new community of players. Come on in and help us get this over the finish line – we'd be so happy to have you on board!

We're now in the final week of this incredible journey together. Thank you all for being on this amazing ride with us – let's finish strong!

1 Week Left! Meet the Dev, Push for the PC Port, & More!
10 months ago – Wed, Jun 11, 2025 at 09:58:27 AM

Friends, adventurers, and fellow story lovers,

Can you believe it? We’re officially on the home stretch – just one week left in the Echoes of the Unread Kickstarter campaign!

This journey has been an absolute dream so far, and that’s all thanks to this amazing community (yes, that means YOU!). It's time for the final countdown, and we're SO excited to push for one last big goal together!

Our Big Push for the PC Steam Port! 💻

As we head into this crucial final week, we want to put a huge spotlight on our first major stretch goal: the $25,000 PC Port for Steam! We are so close to making this a reality, and your help in this final stretch can push us over the finish line.

So, what does this goal mean for Echoes of the Unread?

Without hitting this goal, Rhapsody's musical journey will remain a wonderful and treasured experience exclusively for the original NES hardware and its dedicated enthusiasts. While that's awesome in its own right, it means a huge community of PC players who love retro adventures might miss out on joining her quest entirely. This is our chance to open the Library's doors to so many more people!

If we succeed together, what should you expect from a Steam Port?

  • ✅ Steam Achievements: You'll be able to hunt down shiny, collectible achievements to show off your in-game triumphs and mastery!

  • ✅ Cloud Saves: Pick up your adventure right where you left off, anytime.

  • ✅ A Huge New Community: Rhapsody will be on the world's biggest PC gaming platform, ready to be discovered by a massive new audience through forums and community hubs.

  • ✅ Easy Access for All: No NES required! This makes it super easy for anyone with a PC to download, play, and fall in love with Rhapsody's world.

This goal is all about making Echoes of the Unread more accessible and sharing its story far and wide. We're on the very edge of unlocking it, and we know we can get there with your amazing support. Let's make this happen together!

Meet the Maestro! 🧑‍🎨 The Person Behind the Pixels!

So many of you have joined us on this journey, and we thought it would be fun to properly introduce the heart and soul behind Echoes of the Unread – the creator, artist, and developer, Matt Tuttle!

And that's the passion you're helping support! From early days doodling pixels to a lifelong love of music and story, every part of Matt's journey has led to creating this game – a true labor of love we can't wait to share with you.

Grateful for a Shout-Out from Forbes! 📰

Okay, folks, we have some absolutely amazing news to share on the press front that we're still buzzing about. Echoes of the Unread was featured in Forbes! We were so honored and thrilled to read their thoughtful words about Rhapsody's adventure, and we wanted to share a little of what they said:

  • “Echoes Of The Unread’ Is A New NES Platformer Hitting The Right Notes”

  • “I tried out the demo of the NES game for myself and came away very impressed. I’m a sucker for charming, original takes on retro platforming and Echoes of the Unread has tons of personality and charm. Rather than just asking you to run from left to right, squashing enemies and collecting things along the way, there’s a bit more going on here.”

  • “I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on Echoes of the Unread, especially since it’s an authentic retro game that runs on original NES hardware.”

The Grand Finale! 🎬 Don't Miss Dev Blog #4 This Friday!

Get ready for a very special one. Our final installment of the Dev Blog series, Episode #4, titled "The Heart of Echoes," is coming this Friday, June 13th!

In this heartfelt finale, Matt will be sharing his personal thoughts on the core themes of the game, the emotional journey of its long development, and what this project truly means to him. You won't want to miss this look into the very soul of Echoes of the Unread. Keep an eye on our YouTube channel for when it drops!

The Final Push: Let's Make This Last Week Count! ✨

This is it – the home stretch! Your energy is what will carry us across the finish line. If you've been thinking about grabbing an add-on (like that awesome laser-engraved Limited Edition NES cart or the CD or vinyl soundtrack!), or if you have a friend who you know would love this musical platformer adventure, now is the perfect time to share the campaign!
